Fahaka and pellets

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tried northfin carnivore 10 mm disc and NLS algae wafer. Worked awesome. Bites chunks off. She was eating 2 mm pellet prior to and she loves that too. Makes feeding so much easier. Hope that it keeps her beak in check. She still gets live baby Marmokreb once a week.

Most people give up too easily. Well done, Jonah.

When I had other fish that were eating pellets, I would occasionally throw a few into my Fahaka tank and she would gobble them up as well. I don't anymore because I simply don't feed pellets, since she is my only fish. As RD mentioned, just keep the diet varied and you'll be 100% fine. Heck, maybe you can find some really hard pellets that will help keep her beak in check as well!

It’s easier as mine is young and tolerate 50+ swordtails platies and mollies in the tank w her. When I feed, u get a huge feeding response forum the live bearer and the fahaka started going for it as well. The northfin carnivore is pretty hard. Takes her a few times to get a chunk off of it.

How do u post video. I have one of Alice hunting a baby cray but don’t know how to post. Lol.

Update on Alice. She is growing as expected. Just a bit I’ve 4 inches total length. Just a bit over four months. Photos shows Alice after eating 2-3 carnivore disc (northfin). She gets marmokreb and baby apple snails occasionally.
