So after a year of research, waiting, and selling my red belly piranhas, I have finally got my fahaka!!! I got him in on Tuesday and boy was he sick, he had ich so I quarantined him in my 2.5 gallon tank. I moved him to his 55 Friday when a new friend of mine bought the rbp's,( he's putting them in like a 480gallon and breeding them) and boy is he loving it. I will move him to a 180gallon that my new friend will be selling to me when I feel the puffer is ready. Please I am new to fahaka's and this forum so all help is appreciated and accepted, just one request pics pics pics!!

Congratulations.

I will definitively come back to see your progress.

How is he going along with the plants?

I only have the one plant in there, and he loves it I put sand as was told yet he doesn't submerge in it. He either sleeps under the rocks or he rests on one of the leaves on the plant.

Keep us updated!

I would love to have one in my 190 tank that I'm currently setting up, I'm just afraid he will ruin my plants.

I just spent 350 dollars on Anubias and java ferns, and I do intend to keep them!

Are you going to add more plants?

Can't go wrong with bloodworms.

Most, if not all fish I ever kept love them.

Let us know when it starts eating snail and shrimps. I'm glad you decided to make this thread, I'll be following you to see what I can learn from your experience, I might just have to get one.

They are by far the most interesting and beautiful puffer/fish I know of.

Thanx I appreciate it, it bites at everything just doesn't kill lol. I think it's cause it trained me to where it knows it can get bloodworms if his stomach isn't round.
