Wow, A Mbu cross would be an interesting experiment if i had a laying female and mature male i'd give it a go. I'd bet they would make for an interesting mix of patterns.

Egg crate dividers are an interesting idea, Put the male "up wind" of the female or up current i guess lol It might increase the chances of pulling off fertilization through the grate.

How big is the laying female ?? And do you know how old/large was she when she started producing eggs for you ?
