Fahaka laid eggs again

can they really interbreed, or you just kidding?
I know nothing.

I'm not really sure, but one would think it would be a possibility.

How big is the laying female ?? And do you know how old/large was she when she started producing eggs for you ?

She is 17.5-18 inches and about 5.5 years old I think. The first time she laid eggs she was about 12-13 inches and maybe a year and a half old.

Its just a shame its almost close to impossible to house two fahakas together or it would be quite the sight to see hundreds of 1-2cm fahakas swimming around

Terrifying? My cute little snugly 6 incher couldn't be friendlier. I don't hand feed so as to keep my fingertips, but she is petable. Of course a year from now when I only have half a hand I might retract everything I said.

My big girl is also super friendly and likes being handled, I was only speaking from the feeding aspect. That would be a LOT of hungry mouths.

I kinda wonder what you do to that fish to get her to lay eggs with out a male of her species in the tank.....
