Fahaka or Serra sp piranha?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would put in a strong divider with reinforcements so thats not a problem. I was just wondering if this was possible and how large the tank must be in gallons?

Well they both have a pretty serious bite, so not worth the risk, IMO. They could both become damaged enough not to make it.

we should post that three times too to answer jburg lol

I heard of a fahaka breaking down a really strong barrier to get at another fahaka. Neither lived: http://www.**************.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=151

i think(my opinion only) you want to keep 2 fish who need big tanks but dont have the room. so sayying my fahaka is in a 125 and leaving out it only has 12" of tank to swim doesnt work

Thanks for your advice but i dont quite understand what your saying please repeat that

the fish you want need room. not volume. so taking a tank that would be big enuf for the stock and dividing it would do no good

Could it be possible to put a fahaka puffer and a serra sp. piranha in the same tank as long as there is a divider? If so how large would the tank have to be? Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Aren't piranha better kept in a group?
