Dither fish? Those are tankmates!! Hahah.. There was 5 of those tinfoils at first. They were Albino Tinfoils that PetSmart had for so long, that they were like 5".. They were still under the size 'SMALL' sku, so I got them for $3/ea. I would never buy tinfoils otherwise.
I first attempted to use them as Dither fish with my Buttikoferi, but he instantly inhaled one, so I decided I would try them as Dither fish with the Fahaka. He chased them for about 30 seconds, then realized they werent feeder goldfish. A few days later I was down to 3. Ever since then, he hasn't even acknowledged the existance of the Barbs.
The Green Severum has also been with him since they were both 1".. The severum would get the occasional nip, but hasn't had one in over 3 months. Its interesting, that the severum shows some of the best coloration for a common severum I have ever seen. The fahaka also ignores the severums presence, and never chases it.
Used to be a Parrot Fish in there, but it lost it's face one day. It attempted to eat a peice of krill that was hanging half-way out of the Puffers mouth. Needless to say the Fahaka got a look of fury in his eye and demolished the face of the parrot.
