fahaka puffed

I've been told by someone that its stressful for a puffer to puff up, is there any fact behind that statement? Or was someone just trying to sound knowledgeable?

puffing in the wild is normally a defense mechanism or from being frightened, in the home aquarium, it could be from getting spooked, or just doing it for the heck of it?

a lot of people have seen their puffers seemingly puff for no reason... my old palembangs, as well as my fahaka have all puffed randomly before, and when they notice me coming they deflate almost instantly and look at me as if nothing is wrong...

Oh ok, so I assume its ok then? Is there an age where they can start doing it? I say this bc my friend turned the light on on my baby fahaka's tank and it puffed up a bit then deflated.

they have this ability even as tiny little puffers. If anything i think it is good for them to occasionaly puff up as means of "stretching" if you will. Also is a good tool for getting attention which puffers seem to want non stop.
