Mbus are one of the few relatively peaceful Puffer that works well in a community. The biggest problem with them is they require a very large tank because of their adult size. (26")
So you would eventually need to house one in a tank greater than 24" wide allowing it to turn around comfortably.
Also puffers tend to want to face the front of the tank when people approach so
they need to be able to fit comfortably front to back with out a bend in the tail region.
If this is not provided it will evetually cause a deformity in the tail region.
Actually, even more important than the minimum width needed to turn around is dilluting the puffer's wastes. This is why 1000g is recomended for this messy eater & high waste producer.
