fahaka tankmates

has anyone had any success with tankmates with a fahaka. perhaps a tagifugu or red devil any luck at all anyone?

I have to cons in the tank, plus a medium common pleco, and had a JD. The common is missing his tail, and the cons are alright, but he will eat them eventually. If you want to keep something with them go for it, just don't put anything you want to keep long term in there.

Yeah my 5" fahaka does the same; He would kill anything and everything you put in with him...Although I could pet mine he's like a freaking dog.

Mine kills most everything, he killed a JD that was in the tank yesterday, and took a bite out of the pleco, but the cons are fairly unscathed.

how about another puffer around the same size like a tagifugu

depends on the puffer. I'd say its unlikely, and takifugu puffers generally like more salt in there water I believe.

It's unlikely that you could ever keep another puffer with a fahaka. Mine attacks his reflection so much I'd never do it.

damn thats crazy . u would think there would be one fish out there that would be compatible. i think im going to try a red devil as a tankmate cause my fahaka is still small and if he bites the rd then most he will do is fin nip him. so maybe if they grow together . but if i see fin nips then hes outta there.
