I got my Fahaka from bawb2u and he was eating fine. Since i got her she hasnt eaten anything. I tried shrimp, tilapia, snails, and even tried a few guppies. Any suggestions

Does it chase the guppies? If it does not atleast chase the guppies that would be odd for a fahaka. Also mine will not touch snails or fillets of fish. Mine eats frozen blood worms and shrimp really well. And goes crazy over live cray fish. Try and find a live cray for it. They sometimes have them at lfs's or you can net them from a creek. Also ask the person that you bought it from what they fed. Is the belly really sunk in, like it may have a parasite? I highly doubt the PH would cause it to not eat. As long as it was acclimated to the tank and not just dumped in.

I'm the person he bought it from, so I guess it would be best for me to chime in here. She's always been fed on shrimp, snails, scallops, small clams and crayfish. She's been treated for parasites twice in the 8-9 months that I had her. First was when she first came in and the second was a couple of weeks before I sold her. It was a prophylactic worming due to the fact shellfish can contain tapeworms. She had been feeding well since the worming. I'd never had a problem with her eating and have never fed bloodworms or feeder fish. I kept her pH at 7.2 and raised the GH and KH using a homemade buffer. If you are interested, here is a thread about it I posted on another forum.

I've been working with Phil about this situation via PM's and will continue to do so. I'm certain this is only a temporay problem but I suggested he post up here to get other opinions, as I didn't want to seem like there was any hidden agenda behind my advise or to make it seem as if there were any problems that I hadn't disclosed before or after him getting the fish.

She might just be settling from the move. Mine loves black worms and ghost shrimp but rarely bothers the guppies that sometimes get mixed in with the ghost shrimp.
