what is a fair price for a 13" ornate bichir?

You will get a number of very different responses to this. What I would pay up here in Canada would likely be wayyyy more than you should pay in Indy, by the same token you will likely have to pay more than those is better markets. Having said that I would say $80 to $100 would be more than fair in my market.

I paid 100 dollars for mine at 7 inches. Tell me i got ripped off sure, but its the only one that has been at any stores in my area in the past 2 years. I dont buy fish online either. Shipping is a huge waste of money to me.

I see 7" all the time for 50$, and up to that size 80-100$. Of course, value is always what it is worth to the buyer. I dont know how many times I have told my friends about the good ol days: 5 years ago when I spent half the money for most species of fish lol

Ornates are very rare here in ohio. When they are available, they are like 100 bucks for a 6".

There is a 4" for $40 near me and he's growing quickly. Most likely will be a 6" for $40 soon lol
