Jeremy and I tried measuring her after a comical ordeal of wrangling her with a rubbermaid drawer and came up with 18-19 across.
Sure seems a lot bigger then that though. I almost pooed when I layed eyes on her the first time. I knew she was decent sized but this is rediculous. She's a monster. I think she could eat whole hot dogs.
You're not the first to guess her to be 24". I talked to a guy out in Chicago that had seen her in person and he laughed when I told him her advertised size. She was a little under rated.
She seems happy. Always on the move. Very active for a ray her size. Tell you the truth I may end up making the pond bigger the way she paces the perimeter. I ended up rehoming 1/2 dozen rays in the process of getting her here, and it seems I needed every bit of the extra room. She's plump, and eats a bunch. I imagine it's her doing but the dominant male is just tore up. Seems to have a new hickey everyday. It's too bad he's so small. Think he gave up on the big girl and went for one of the smaller ones, as one of the smaller ones is bit up now. It's my pleasure to have her here, hopefully she will be a mom in the future... She never showed any aggression towards other rays when she was here. I thought she was the one causing damage to my male when I first got him from you, but it turned out it was my parrot cichlid.
