Gald to know that u came off without much of a scratch when standing up for your family with the kind of restraint u showed under pressure (that takes a lot of courage). I think it would help u'll a good deal to get a restraining order against him in case he does return (as preemptive action). I do hope u and your mum are able to put this ugly incident behind u'll and have a wonderful christmas this year.

Well we went to the solicitors today to start the process of gaining a restraining order. My bro phoned before, to say sorry. I accepted his apology, but I don't want to know him.

I feel for you. I know what it's like to have family issues. I can only hope that he starts being a better person but given his track record who knows. Just take it day by day and try to make it through til you're of at least college/moving out age.

Brass knuckles are quite effective for re-arranging facial bones and eye sockets. And they are easily concealed. I highly doubt he will get up after a few well-placed strikes to his eye, mouth and nose area. This will not work if you don't like the sight of blood, though.
