footprint is 72 X 27 and tank is 24 deep. I built it to fit next to my fireplace mantle. I wanted to make it wider but didn't want it to stick out farther than the fireplace. I should of went 7 feet long though to close the gaps on the sides.
Beautiful rays; and thanks for the inspiration on the plants; I've been scratching my head trying to figure out how to have a fully planted tank with rays since they like to dig around in the substrate; but floating plants will work or mounting holders to the sides and filling them with substrate for the plants would look cool as well; that way they will have the entire bottom available;
You've got me wondering if I should get a couple snooks to lure my Dats out! They're in with a tig, a black aro and a flagtail and they hide all day!
