Thought I'd share a few shots I took of a very awsome fish that is currently housed at the Shedd aquarium in Chicago. The story behind this fish is perhaps more interesting than the fish itself although in real life this "true monster" is quite impressive to look at.
He is a Queensland Grouper named Bubba. Back in 1987, Bubba was found on the steps of the Shedd Aquarium in a bucket with a note saying "take care of this fish". The Shedd took him in and he now resides in a collossal tank of the new wing. Bubba came right up to me (perhaps to eat me) so of course I fumbled for my camera with hopes of taking some primo pics. Currently, Bubba is about 4 feet in length and weighs about 150 lbs. Words can't describe this fish really.
All I can say is that I must have looked something like this>
when he swam up so close.
OK, so maybe Bubba isn't really that famous technically, but he's more interesting than most human celebrities that I can think of.
