just get her a bigger goldie. i have a few large ones in with my pickerels, and they are just fine. and they actually outgrow the pickerel, so if you get it large enough, you'll never have to worry about it.

That was a cruel trick to play on wifey. You knew that was going to happen and let her. Get her a new goldie and tank for Valentine's, and tell her to stay out of your tanks.

No trick. I told her from day 1 that it was going to be food. It was the 2nd biggest fish next to the shiners. I figure if I get one the same size AND shiners then it should be all good. I just need to keep him fed and he'll stay away from the biggest one I'm trying on the tank thing. Except...she knows me..and I wont be able to stay away from her tank

Will go to LFS and see about getting a nice BIG goldie.

Whole thing is still so funny. I had a friend over the night before it happened. At one point after lights out we saw him eying the goldie and I called it. I was off by a few hours but still. Wife told me not to buy him food for a week
