Fancy goldfish substrate HELP...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I understand that. But nevermind I'll let it be at that.

I re-read your post, and i may have been to hasty. I see what you are saying, but as a rule for goldfish, bigger is better, in terms of total volume per week, but i get you, if you do multiple smaller, it can be just as effective. at least i think thats what you meant. sorry.

its quite alright lol I wasn't offended haha. No worries, that's the point of an open forum, different views on our hobby. I apologize if I came off as angry.

Thank you for all of the advice and feedback, it is always appreciated to have a good dialogue about the hobby. I currently have 15 tanks running in my house totaling approx. 435 gallons of water, so I know a thing or two about water changes, they are what I do instead of having a social life. If I ever had concern for swimming space for any of my fish I would upgrade without hesitation. Although I am new to goldfish in particular, I am pretty happy with their current setup. Never underestimate the power of live plants as well, which I have in most of my tanks.

I just use pool sand in all my tanks
