No wait anybody know if they do better in a outdoor pond or unheated fishtank

the freakish body variety do better at room temp as they are weaker than the normal type

hmm my views towards them may have came out in my first post

if you are keeping the ones with disk shaped bodys they do better at room temp but if breeding it is good to raise and lower the temp through the year. due to there swimming disability they are not well suited to pond life and also inbreeding has caused there systems to be weaker and suseptable to disease.

Goldfish are overall strong fish. They can tolerate many temperatures, Im not sure I would put goldfish in a pond in the winter .

if you go with standard goldfish they can survive in any pond that does not freeze solid
