Are you planning to breed them for only one snake? Even one pair of rats can by far out-breed what one ball python can eat.

Breeding rodents for reptile food isn't economical unless you own 10+ snakes. If you keep rats as pets when they have babies you most likely will not want to feed them off because your used to their parents as being pets. Live feeders are not necessary for a ball python. You will spend more money and time than it's worth and there's a possibility that the rat could injure your snake. Frozen is the way to go!

I did that for a little for my piranhas. Its not worth it in my opinion and you feel pretty bad feeding those cute little babies. Well I do at least. I just let them go like a week ago.

i would probably keep some of them. and i would seperate them by sex.
