almost addict-like. but if i was sittin in a chair for two days straight, awake nonetheless, id prolly be doing the same thing.

ya.. he was chucking redbull like they were jelly shots.. Its a hard life sitting at the weel house.. especially if your smoking just to stay awake.. My dad is 59 and he looks younger than Captain Phil...
 
That is such a shame. I watch that show and I will miss him also.

well everyone is outside working hard. its easy to see why even the deckhands fall asleep at the helm. no way i could sit for two days, paying that much attention to keeping an eye out on the boat and the crew's safety, along with only catching a few hours of sleep in between multiple day stints in that chair.
 
Sad. I remember that one episode where he drank something crazy like 50 redbulls in 2 or 3 days and got really sick. Hell, I drink 2 and I think I'm gonna have a coronary. I also remember how his kids were freaking out over his illness. I just hope they can keep the boat afloat. RIP Cappy.
 
Man, thats hard to hear. He was my favorite captain. :(
 
Any one know why they took the show off air?
