Feed once a week, with very very little food for a month
no water change
Then overfeed and do water change , i fed mine exclusively on live feeder fish
17. Does frozen baby brine shrimp works? or does it have to be live?
I fed mine live brine shrimp, the fry died. Apparently these monster fish have very small fry, i think the brine shrimp scared the hell out of the fry.
I was advised that the fry should be able to eat a certain species of brine shrimp that is smaller in size, at that time I could not get that type of brine shrimp.

I sold the pair to a neighbor after three spawnings as I could not raise the fry. He was able to raised thousands of baby little cichlas..
