I'm just mad I didnt think of it first!

As far as feeding go's, you could get two 100G stock tanks and get a breeding pair of tilapia. Let the pair produce, then move all the fry to the empty 100G and grow them out. As you have more tilapia, you can get more stock tanks. More breeding pairs and more fry produced. Tilapia breed quite easily, and produce a lot of fry. And it would be cheaper then buying large carp from the market all the time.
Just something to think about..
 
if i were to put the over 120k into the tank to make it look good and run right i dont thinnk the cost of food will deter me.. And as far as falling in we never talked about dimensions.. i was thinkin maybe 6 feet deep.. as well as some type of moveable divider system that can be moved so that i can enter the tank un harmed.. i would think everything out down to every last detail.. as far as falling in, i dont think that i can accidentaly fall into a tank that has a brim higher then my head.. i could also go with some type of biotope where maintenace can be completely done from the filtration system that would account for no less that 10% of the overall water volume.. i dont do things half a*s lol we shall see wah happens though..
 
if your going to spend the money on something like that I would say forget the pygo's and get into some geryi, or a big school of elongs..

I thought of this.. the thing is that with the elongs they wont ever gat large enough to eat any of the food supplies that i am thinking about.. feeding 100 12" piraya will be much easier then feeding 100 elongs.. and the same with the geryi.. they will not dispatch full grown fish of the size i am talking about to keep them full
 
pygo is the way to go~! pirayas would be bad ass, with that size tank you'll have great chance to grow them to maybe 20".
If I was doing it, I'll try to duplicate a small section of a river system, not 100 pirayas, maybe like 50 or so then the rest will be feeders such as cichlids, catfish (that won't get big enough to eat the pirayas), bottom feeders to help clean up the left over, etc. with a smaller number of pirayas in a 10k gallon tank it is possible to have a mini eco system that can almost be self sustainable. you just have to take care of keeping the water condition good and maybe add some freshblood in the tank every now and then. that's how I would do if I have the money and space to do such project.

If I hit that prize my tnank is going to be 20 cariba, 20 reds and 20 piraya.

My wife is pretty understanding.. she knows that this is not a hobby that you can just shake off... and she says along as the tank looks nice when its done their isnt a problem with her.. as long as our finances are in order she doesnt see a problem with it.. she likes fish as well she currently has a nice red sea nano tank with marine fish.. i brought this up to her many times and she seems excited, and now shes talking about a 1000g reef tank : ) she realluy is the best
