I'm starting to find that It can be a common occurance for them to injure their tails. They are simply too fragile. I have a Whiptail cat in My tank that Suddenly appeared with a portion of his tail missing... No type of Hunters or Predators in the tank.
A better pic of him: also I found him sucking on my filter intake lol, I hope it didn't take of any slime coat.
