Fastest growing. Cichlid

My buttikoferi was a really fast grower! Had to get rid of him because he got really mean!

Right up there is my midevil. He has gotten huge real fast!

What is your guys experience?

Fastest grower I have had is blue talapia. Grows faster than an oscar and will easily eat 2x or 3x times as much as the oscar. Complete pig.

Oscars had a red that grew 1.5" a month, my silver arow is also growing 1-2" per month

oscars ! mine grew about 0.5cm in just 1 week which is the first time i bought it.

I haven't owned them, but the emperor cichlid - Boulengerochromis microlepis - must be up there. In the wild they get to 2 ft+ in 2 years.

In captive IMO nothing beats the Oscars, eats like a pig and grows like one too

Oscars def grow quick, but my old Midas grew pretty quick too!! Most Amph's do.
