Fastest growing. Cichlid

Pearsei has outgrown anything Ive ever kept, salt or fresh. Then my argentea followed by, amphs and jags. They are all fast but our pearsei is something special....

IMHO I'd say dovii, jags, & oscars are a toss up with the proper care from my experience. All grew 1-1.25" a month till around the 9" mark.

I've owned all the cichilds mentioned above and the emperor has the fastest sustained growth.

Mine was either my oscar or my flowerhorn. Both grew faster than my jag or butti.

I think oscars. Followed by midas/other amphs and jags.
Blackbelts also grow pretty quick I noticed.

From what I have kept, oscars. I also had a male salvini that easily kept up with the growth rate of my oscar.

Can't believe nobody said peacock bass? They are easily the fastest growing cichlid I have ever kept.
