Fastest growing fish

Hey y'all

I was wondering in your experiences, what is the fish that grows at the fastest rate?

For me it has been my sailfish PLECO (sorry for the caps, autocorrect was driving me crazy), peacock cichlids, and my jewel cichlids.

Silver Arowana grow pretty fast imo.

Doesnt fit your criteria, but still a cool fact-
Mahi mahi / dorado / dolphin can grow over 2 inches a week. Pretty sure theyre the fastest growing fish, period. Not that anyone has them in aquariums.

I haven’t had many fish that max under 6” but my starlight pleco went from 1” to 3” in two months

When you compare weekly growth in percent to their maximum length the most Killifish are unbeatable fast growers.

Nothobranchius furzeri is a killi fish from Africa that matures in 14 days!!!!!!! That means it’s the fastest maturing vertebrate in the world.

That said, most tetras and other characins pack on size really fast, in a matter of weeks they are near full grown IME.
