I use a 1800gph submersible pond pump. Pump 150-175 gallons from my 300g into my yard in a few minutes. Then hook garden hose to sink faucet adjust the temp and fill. Takes longer to fill 30-40min depending on how much I drain.

I like the idea of using that 1800G pump... Although i'd be worried it'll suck all my fish out along with the water...

mag pump all the way. or a simple garden hose (will be slower but this works just fine).
