Ok so I was done with cichla, and sold off my last ones. I have been having some troubles with any and all bass Ive kept. Small ones end up with ich, big ones are picky eaters, and so I gave up cichla. Recently a friend who wishes to remain anonymous * cough * boogieman * cough * asks me if I will house a big fish for him. Sure why not my 500g has plenty of room

Next thing I know I have this beast in my 500g, and a chance to get a nice bass.

Is my 500g destine to always have cichla? Anyways this guy is doing well, prob a solid 17" azul with amazing color on his fins, but he is also very gold and his stripes come and go. What do you guys think will he settle in and color up?

I might be getting back into cichla:nilly:

Ya he's massive, but I like the grey black and blue ones, whatcha think can he change color, or why is he so gold, and the last pic is when the tank lights are on so this is how I see him 99% of the time
