Father and son Green Terror

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
very nice GTs, that is going to be my next pair. im on the hunt for some. IMO green terror is very common but very few can compare to its color in the New World species list!

Even though GT is common, they aren't equal. I kept many GTs on and off for 20 years, but only this latest bloodline that I am finally happy with. Some GTs I kept before had too thin orange edge, some had big body but not much hump, some had poor finnage and color, just not up to the quality I am looking for. It's best to pick up GT juveniles at 2+ inch so you can observe the quality, unless you have the chance to observe the parents.

It still amazes me how rude some people on this forum can be.

That's why I only visit here periodically. There are people on this forum who just seem angry and miserable. I try to remember that most are nice and respectful though.

To the OP: Nice GTs. You should be proud.

Is this what the hobby has been reduced to? Keeping, breeding and proliferating artificially "engineered" fish that have little to do with the wild, natural form of the species?

That's all I'm saying. Also, it is merely my opinion that these fish are ugly. Am I not allowed to express my views?

I find it amazing how so many people on here frown upon others who speak their mind and be straightforward about things instead of giving compliments they don't mean. Do I go around people's picture threads leaving negative comments? No. When I see pictures I genuinely like and appreciate, I say so. Here are a couple of instances:

Nothing to contribute, just would like to say that that is the best looking female dovii I have ever seen, and one of the nicest dovii pairs I have ever seen. Stunning fish.

Stunning. That is what a good quality managuensis looks like.

I should have known though - here on MFK, any time you diverge from the norm, or express a contrarian opinion you get flamed. No wonder so many of the older members have left...

And we all find it amazing that you think it's okay to jump on somebody else's' fish show off thread to post negative comments like "ugly." Sorry, but speaking your mind doesn't trump being respectful of others.

My bet would be that MFK loses more members because of people like you, not people like us.

OP, I've watched that second video a dozen times this past week. I'm hoping my 2" GTs look half as good as yours someday.
