  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Clear poop and sunken belly happened to mine when young. I mixed in veggies and it was a great help. Also a little Epsom salt mixed with there food to.

Did you get the NLS with garlic? Mine are about 2 " now and when i got them were about 1 " They would fight like crazy over the pellets. The LFS only had them for a day so the only other feedings they had were from the breeder. I hope you get it sorted out.

Ya. I got the 1mm pellets with garlic and my baby Senegal bichir is going crazy over it but the geo doesn't even look at it. Do you guys think that if there was a group of them, it would start eating it? The most I can really add is 2 more cuz the tank is already kinda crowded. There's a 3" Senegal bichir, 5" delhezi bichir, 3" adonis pleco and a 4" African brown knife in my 20L with the geo. All of these will be going in my 150g once they hit about 7". That's when I feel they'll be safe enough to go with the big boys

Most young geos do better in groups. I keep them in groups of 4 - 8 to grow them out. I think your LFS had sickly geos. The one who died ate a lot but stayed thin, a sign of internal parasites.

They have a lot of selection but a lot of their common fish do get sick. I went there over the weekend and all of them had ick. I'm pretty picky when it comes to choosing the exact fish I want but the one that died was the last of 2 that they had left so I just took a chance to try and fatten it up. I just went to petco to get crickets though and they had a bunch so I snagged up 2. Hopefully the one I currently have will start eating now cuz all they fed theirs were flakes.

if i am not wrong those look like the ones being sold as Geo Surinamensis but they are Altifrons of some sort...they are slow growers, i have 3 of them for almost a year now and the biggest one is at 6"....give them time...
