Fattening up YOYO Loaches

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have had my yo-yo loach for 1 month now and he went from under 1" to over 4". I feed NLS sinking community pellets, sera vipagram and sinking vipachips, spirulina enriched brine shrimp, krill and bloodworms. Just to let you know though my yo yo is a pig and will eat constantly if he is allowed too. He is already bigger than one of my clown loaches I've had for more than 2 months that was the same size as the yo yo when I bought it.

WOW! These little guys are awesome. Thought about getting a couple clown loaches too but not sure I have room for them

Yeah I'm thinking I need to pick up some sinking pellets for them. The cichlids eat the floaters but rarely eat from the bottom unless the krill ends up there. With that big GT and JD not much hits the bottom :D

Thanks everyone. If you have more advice or comments please keep em coming.

one more thing. I used to feed my Pleco's zuccini every week or tw. Would loaches appreciate that type of veggetable matter as well? I do have spirulina flakes i could feed them too

Zucchini and Romaine lettuce are great choices. Also massivore pellets, for a clicking riot.

Wurm, I bet your guys are clicking all the time, they are possibly the most spoiled loaches on the forum or the world for that matter.

I know just saying the diet I have mine one has made it grow a .5" in one month and pictures are just to prove it.

I have seen Tiger's and Yoyo's feed, and there isn't any discernible difference, so the point is valid.
