Fav Fishin Bait Artificial/live

I think my favorite lure for Bass is a jointed Rapala (Perch-color), but all Rapalas are good. I also use live nightcrawlers quite a bit. A Hula-Popper is one of the most exciting ways to catch a fish when they are feeding from the top. Iuse Rooster-Tail spinners once in a while, but I don't like the way they twist your line (even with a ball-bearing swivel!)

For trout I usually troll with a Ford Fender or School-o'-Minnows followed by a Kokanee Killer or Needlefish tipped with corn or a piece of worm.

All depends on what you're fishing for, but without fail my favorites are:
Live minnow on a hook. I try for shiners usually.
And rooster tails. I do a LOT of stream fishing for trout & smallmouths and I hit 'em hard on rooster tails all summer. In fact, I carry a little plastic case in my pocket that has 5-6 rooster tails of different colors (although white and yellow are what I hit the most with), #6 baitholder hooks, splitshots, and a small bobber, and I'll spend 6 or 8 hours knee deep in creeks. I never carry any bait, but use mostly rooster tails and occasionally worms I dig up from the shoreline.

This year I've been trying to expand my horizons and have bought a few spinners, dardevils, crankbaits and poppers, but I still find myself catching more fish on minnows & rooster tails than anything else.

Frog lures; I love the strength of the strikes they draw. I have literally dozens of different kinds so many in fact I have to pick which ones I take with me on any given trip. They wont all fit in my tackle box. Most successful for me has been rebels simple little plastic one, followed by the yum rubber weedless ones that are scented. Worst performing has been the chatter-frog never had anything even bump up against it. My theory is it would be better on a big lake. I prefer creeks and rivers.

I use a variety of plastic worms, salamanders and crawdads when I am fishing for LMB. I like to use live minnows, night crawlers and small bullheads when fishing for catfish. I have never used a banjo minnow although I occasionally use a flying lure that I was given, I have caught a couple of LMB on it. I just bought a Chatter Frog Lure to try, I hope it works or it is back to the glow in the dark minnow lure for me.

You use rubber or real crawdads?

I've tried all types of rooster tails in my part of PA but never catch anything on them. Around my area, fathead minnows and half of a crawler will catch trout even on 80F days - if you know were to cast and how to work it.
