Thanks! He's a little over 2 years old. Love his color, looking for some females to breed him with now.

My Champ or my Venistus are my fav. Sorry I dont have any pics my gf lost my camera so i dont have any to load up. Does anyone have any pics of champs or venistus

I dont have very many fish yet, and I will be receiving 10 fish by mail tomorrow. But of the fish I have this guy is my favorite, He is some sort of hybrid peacock that I got at a LFS. He doesnt like to sit still and my picture taking skill suck to begin with.

Great looking fish everyone :)

Frosty that's a copadichromis borleyi (looks like a kadango).

That was my other thought, thanks!

He just started to color up real good a month ago.

I have a bunch of favorites but I will narrow it down to about 10...
ShowInsignus-1.jpg

Protomelas Spilonotus Tanzanian "Insignus"
One of my all time favorites b/c of their personality. This guy placed 1st in the Hap class at the 2008 ACA convention. I have had his ventrals to his body length, but, every time he is re-introduced to the breeding colony he always looses them. I have a a lot more males who will take his place soon. I have a 3.5-4" fully colored male with ventrals at about 4" or so.. They are longer then he is right now!! :)
EurekaRed.jpg

Aulonocara jacobfreibergi "Eureka Red"
A nice strain of Eurekas, definately a lot more red than your normal ER you would find.
RubyREDSHOW4.jpg

Aulonocara sp. Maleri "Ruby Red"
These are the best of the best with a blood red body. I am working on getting the red all the way in his face. Also, working with an orange variant..
PhenoShow11.jpg

Placidochromis sp. Phenochilus Tanzanian-Lupingu
These are in my top 5. The blotches are AMAZING in a tank!
ShowBucco.jpg

Buccochromis Rhodesii "Yellow Lepturas"
These are flat out in my top 3. They are a very COOL HAP and I believe EVERYONE should own one!!
LwandaShow2b.jpg

Aulonocara Lwanda Red Top
This strain is straight off the charts. They show an orangeish-red color in their fins; not usually the case of what you see. You usually find them yellow, not this type of color, IMO!!
RedNgarab2.jpg

Aulonocara Ngara Flametail "TRUE RED"
This variant is the red one not orange one and this guy is about 3-3.5" and showing a lot of promise for his size. I will hope that the coloration will intense even more and be red like my ruby reds!! This is another one you don't normally find!!
MaleriSHOW.jpg

Aulonocara sp. Maleri
Truly an amazing fish as this strain has 0 blue in the face. You can actually see the yellow in his eyelid!! This has taken some work, but, I believe I have about perfected this strain. We'll see...
SHOWAER2b.jpg

SHOWAER2e.jpg

Aulonocara jacobfreibergi "Eureka Red" Albino
This guy is going to be a show fish. He is maybe 3" and is FULL of color and his fins are to die for!! You will see him at next years show I hope. Below is his father.
SHOWAER3e.jpg

SHOWREDCAP-1.jpg

Lethrinops Red Cap "Itungi"
A new project. This male will also be shown at the 2009 fish shows.
Macrostoma3.jpg

Macrostoma.jpg

Tyrannochromis Macrostoma
Another cool project, hopefully, one of the breeders will be shown next year at the 2009 ACA/OCA.
spectabilis1.jpg

Buccochromis cf. Spectabilis
Yet another project, but, hopefully will yield a darker more robust blue!!
LichnoShow12.jpg

Lichnochromis Acuticeps "malawi Gar"
Fusco-1.jpg

Nimbochromis Fuscotainatus
I believe this was the 3rd African Cichlid I ever purchased.

IN all honesty, I have hundreds of more pictures but to narrow it down to my top 10:
1. Buccochromis Rhodesii "Yellow Lepturas"
2. Nimbochromis Fusco
3. Aulonocara jacobfreibergi "Eureka Red" Albino
4. Aulonocara Lwanda Red Top variant not yellow
5. Lichnochromis Acuticeps "Malawi Gar"
6. Placidochromis sp. Phenochilus "Tanzanian-Lupingu"
7. Aulonocara sp. Maleri "Ruby Red"
8. Tyrannochromis Macrostoma
9. Champsochromis Caereleus or Spilorhynchus
10. Dimidochromis Strigatus Sunset
