hmmm. maybe Sugar or The Pixies with Frank Black. Love early 80s sub-pop. Musicians took themselves very seriously and wanted to sound like a vampire or a robot.

If you like Five Finger Death Punch, you should check out Motograter. IMO 10x better then Fiver Finger Death Punch. It's the singers previous band.
