I agree. Is he meaner than a convict to? I just purchased two small ones male and female about 2" and they are nasty especially the female. Was thinking of getting rid of mine but not if they will turn out like that.

Of fish I have owned my favorite was my Parachromis loisellei and Thorichthys helleri. On my wish I could own would be the Umbee and the Emperor Cichlid.

My male sajica would tolerate no other males in his tank, and his mate would tolerate no other females in the tank, they both though, seem oblivious to other non-similar in appearance species .

I also agree nicaraguense are very underated, they are beautiful and relatively non-aggressive, unless spawning.
