Favorite Fastfood?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I love SUBWAY...COUSINS...and thats it.....I can't stand anything greasy...

Jen ;)

South Carolina, it's a tie between Hardee's and Maurice's BBQ. South Florida (spend a lot of time there), it's Pollo Tropical. In New England, nothing beats D'Angelo's subs. Overseas, my favorite is Steers, burger joint found in South Africa and Namibia.

Among the fast food chains available in CA, my favorites are: 1) In 'N' Out Burger, 2) Carl's Jr., and 3) Taco Bell. In 'N' Out is, IMO, significantly better than any other chain though.

having never seen nor heard of in n out...

are they pretty expensive compared to the lesser fastfood chains, to make up for their apparently-superior quality?

Baja Fresh is good, White Castle, Nathan's, or those vendors in Manhatten. All are worthy of my $$$ muahahaha.

They're a long standing southern California chain that recently (early 1990s) spread to northern California.

They aren't more expensive than other chains, but they do have an extremely abbreviated menu that may reduce their overhead. You essentially get to choose from fries and three items: 1) hamburger, 2) cheeseburger, or 3) double-double = two patties with double cheese. There are no freezers at In 'N' Out: the fries are cut from fresh potatoes before your eyes, the burgers are made from fresh ground beef, the lettuce, onions and tomatoes are all fresh. Good stuff!

I see... seems like a very innovative idea for a fastfood chain. are the fries cut into big nasty tasteless steak fries though, or are they comparable to mcD's etc.?

They're comparable in size to McDonald's fries. In 'N' Out also has some pretty tasty shakes (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) that are made with real ice cream. That's about it for their menu, other than the choice of soft drinks.

Ur not cursed with the Asian Lactose intolerance to Dairy food? I have some tolerance but if I take a shake I need to eat those Lactose tablets or I'll be running off to the toilet when I get home. LOL!
