Favorite fish

Interesting discussion going in this forum. I have a big aquarium at my home.
My favorite fishes are:
African cichlids
American cichlids
Discus
Angelfish
Rays
Gars

All primitive bony fish, with Arowanas at the top.

This is followed by Salmoniformes, Trevally, Cichlids, Pike and Pike-like fish, and Sharks.

Forgot to add Cyprinids and Characins to my list of favorites. Beautiful aquarium fish and prize angling fish, these two families have.

African Cichlids all day. South American tanks are so limited, only a handful can be in the same tank.

Many favorites. I guess it depends. But for color and tranquility, I very much like Discus.
Although there are many beautiful fishes out there.
