for looks i gota say shortnose... and chroc's ovi but there is the rocking horesh$t factor to take into account... so shortnose wins for me...

definitely a fan of the Costa Rican tropical gars, they have a great pattern, and seem to be quite different than the ones we have recently imported here to the US. a friend of mine sent me images for use in an article as well as on primitivefish.com...the pattern differences are quite interesting--
