...and yes, as richard noted, the croc II is currently swimming in Gar-Den II...i got a measurement the other day and he's a solid 25" long :) --

That 2nd pic of your croc II is killer, the teeth. Awesome. Are all the croc gars naturally occurring hybrids or are some/all man-made? I'm really impressed that those gold ones can survive to adulthood in the wild, that's pretty rare for wild occurring morphs to last.

Anyway I voted Florida because that's what I keep, though I'd like to try keeping the tropical as I hear so many good things about them (other than the aggression Jordan talks about).

if you have the room and cash for the Trop...i say go for it! just be aware of what is going on in the tank and have some options available to move fish around if needed.

wow awesome GAR and those cats are pretty sweet too...this looks awefully familiar...hmmm this has got to be the 2400 gallon tank...their was a video with catfishes and gars in a 2400 gallon tank on youtube...look up 2400 gallon tank...its monster!
