This was a good idea, having everyone post thier favorite herps. Only the folks who have shared thier lives with a cold blooded companion can understand how they warm your heart. This is Woody. Since I was five years old Ole' Woodro has been by my side. Going on 24 years now, he has been my constant in this randomness we call life. Aint he a beaut?

Very nice turtle. Touching story.

I just got a turtle yesterday. Some jack$#@ dropped two pf them off at a pond nearby in the cold. I was only able to catch one. The other was fairly large, but got away. The smallest one, now in my care, was beginning to "shut down" because of the low temp. so he wasn't that hard to catch. He is also very under weight. Hopefully I can get him back to good health, and head back to catch his friend.

I had a nile monitor I'd semi-rescued somewhat accepted from a guy who had lots of interest but not the means to care for the beast, I only kept it long enough to rehome it but compared to all the other critters I'd worked with the monitor was my favorite scaly beast by far, always happy to see you, and a beast at feeding time.

wouldn't mind a wild pair of crocodile monitor(varanus salvadorii)

and this sexy lace monitor

and wouldn't mind keeping one of those sailfin dragons, or a nile crocodile
