i like zebra danios and cory cats, and some other fish but i cant remember the name of them ill find it out next time i go to petsmart

How can you tell? young greats look like young pacifics who look like young obtusata (also called great), at least to me. They even look like adult northern sennets.
young greats dont school like pacifics. ive seen tons of juvie greats (4-5in) all of them solo and deep in the mangrove roots. once they hit about a foot they will hang out in packs but not shoal tightly like the pacifics. at this size they display the irregular blotches that the greats are known for. ive literally seen hundreds of great barracuda in their natural habitat. not trying to be a smartass but those are pacifics.

I was not saying you were wrong (or being a smartass), I was really curious. I haven't seen many and they all tend to look alike to me, here is an an example, northern sennet (S. borealis) adults at under 18" pic by di Capria.

In the spirit of the original question though, here is a fish I think would be great in a school of 20 or so in a huge tank or good size pond, Brycon hilarii, @ around 18", pic by Froehlich.

cardinals, diamond, rummynose, and blackphantoms, discus, marble and giant hatchets........there are just too many to list

Gotta love em Danios. Perfect schooling fish to watch being attacked by a Red Eared Slider!
After that, barracuda, no matter what kind. One swam past me whilst snorkelling in greece, it went straight into a schoal of mullet!
