I love the little "freshwater" flounders! They only get like two inches and are so cute! Plus, it is just a fish that people don't see everyday. Everyone that has seen mine always askes, "What the heck is that thing!"

Synodontis Petricola!

My friend was visiting me (not a fish person) and said they looked like little sharks! I love the way they move and look. So cute.

Here you go, my little guy! I ordered a gorgeous true freshwater four inch Peruvian flounder from a seller on Aquabid but it was DOA. It's really difficult to get the true freshwater species, especially large ones. I can post pics of that one too if you want, but it looks really gross, brown foamy water in the bag and all, but it still gives you an idea of what a big one looks like.

The small flounder was $4.50 from my LFS. I spent $50 on the big guy ($25 for the fish, $25 for shipping.) It was $50 wasted. I'd like to get another big flounder but it seems like this one seller is the only one that has them. I just don't want to chance sending another $50 and getting a dead fish. Very poor packing, just wrapped the bag in newspaper and put it in a box. It was a side deal so I can't leave feedback and he never responded to my email. Anyways, here are the pictures of the dead big Peruvian flounder:
