Channa micropeltes.Because they are the only ones i used to own when they were legal.

I love all Snakeheads, I have only been around ( if not kept one ) Channa Micropeltes and Channa Marulioides...so I never had any experience with others to speak of them, but from the pictures I have browsed and collected, they all are indeed beautiful..but I can't speak of any other things.

However, I believe nothing would ever leave an impact in me as the Giant Snakehead / Channa Micropeltes would. This species is AWESOME! a real badass, such aggressiveness, such personality, such beauty, very intelligent...it is just the freshwater Great White Shark! and I have heard too many things about them being in one of their native countries since my childhood and nothing takes the cake as this predator.:headbang2

Good answer Sarcosuchas, I couldn't agree with you more. All Channa species are awesome fish... from the dwarfs to the giants, theyare truly magnificent animals!!

What captivates me the most about them is their personality... very interactive, non skittish (most of them, anyways!), and their "All Out 'NO FEAR' Courageous attitudes!! They WON'T back down for nothing, even if it kills them, they still hold their grounds. Fish are like soldiers... won't die without a fight!! :wall:

I have had bought rescued loads of them in the past I am due to pick this fish up in the next week An unidentified blue form of snakehead from Assam in India. So I think he could be my fave for now my Red was one of my faves just for the jaw dropping factor of people that had no interest in fishes seeing there face as I throw in pike baits and him nail them. As for Dwarf Channa gachua the first and only snakehead I have had breed in my tanks.

On pure looks my favourite would have to be auranti. I love their leopard like patterning on their body with a slight blue and orange undertone. how sick is that???
Channa micropeltes is another favourite mainly because of its sheer power. No doubt it lives up to the name 'fresh water great white shark'. I bet a lot of people are gonna say c. barca and i would have to agree. i dunno maybe its also due to how rare it is but i do also think they are beautiful.
