Favorite top dweller?

I love my African Butterfly fish. I had 3- gave one to my brother, and then one day found the other one dead..

They are neat little fish, and mine eats dried krill right out of my hand.

I vote Killies. Great dithers for nervous loaches and gourami plus killi fry are simple to keep alive so you never have to buy more like tetras. I lose power alot in winter and the tetras are the first to die. You just cant mess up with killies, my fav top-dwellers. Pike&Gar if you got a ]v[onster tank.

I see, any tips? Do I just get two of them(male+female) and leave them in my 75 to breed?

more females than males is better, but I always end up with twice as many males so females are prized but dull. With more males they act like a pack of dogs and are pretty agressive but fun. They will eat anything and will suprise you with the size prey items they will attempt to eat, Killies are not shy.If the 75 is heavily planted your pretty much gauranteed breeding success with any Panchax, Aphyosemion, or Epipltys species. Check for fry early morn. before turning lights on or fry may be eatten in a community tank. I love these fish and once you start breeding killies you want them all. Its addictive.

Damn, what a bummer! Less than a year huh? (I just checked:WHOA:)

Not looking for a schooling fish though :(
Only the annuals. most Panchax, Aphyosemion, and Epiplatys species Ive had live more than 2 years and never stop breeding. Killies are very diverse. I think you looked up annual Killies whose eggs must be dried and rehydrated. check Killi.net Mr. Sexton will set you straight

I can't decide also...fortunately, the first thing that popped into my mind when I read this thread title was you but that's not very nice at all, and I should be ashamed of myself.
