So I was thinking today and wondering what everyone else fed their bichirs. I know that mine likes to eat frozen krill and shrimp pellets but what does everyone else feed theirs? So lets see who has the most successful food for growth and health of the bichirs.

I feed about 80% hikari sinking canivore pellets the rest is a variety of forzen foods including silverside.shrimp and earthworms-Anne
smelt, market shrimp, shrimp pellets, spirulina pellets, hikari carnivore pellets, beef heart, and tilapia fillet
i just bought some lamb heart for my ferrets and have a little over and was wondering if i can feed it to my senegalus's
Quit giving it live feeders lol seriously mine made the switch from live to other foods easily

i have 1 senegal, 1 albino, and 1 ornate. Ive fed um a variety of things:
-sinking carnivore pellets is the main thing
-cheap $1 steak
-smelt
-market shrimp
-algae wafers
-seen them eat frozen brine shrimp
-blood worms
-dried whole krill
-feeder guppies, goldfish (roseys were too fast for um)
Occasional treats:
-meal worms
-nightcrawlers
They love the live food, but i only feed it to um like once a week at the most.

i feed my guys mainly sinking carnivore pellets, they used to eat floating pellets when they were in the smaller tank but never touched them ever since they got to the bigger tank. i also freeze up a chopped mix of market shrimp, squid, and beef heart
