ooohh, i enjoyed seein what other people were in to...amazing how many of us students there are! lol
amazing we can afford fish let alone care for ourselves!
I know. I'm a student too and between my fish, herps, other hobbies and school, I'm pretty much broke.
Like I said, I'm a student. I'm a second year Field Biology major (well, field bio isn't an actual major, it's really just general bio and you take classes that teach you field work techniques as opposed to lab techniques). I'm also a part-time employee of Jack's Aquarium and Pets (small Ohio-area chain), a part-time employee of my school (at this very moment, I'm manning the front desk of my residence hall), and I'll also hopefully start being a TA (teaching assistant) for some courses-probably starting next year (primarily Ichthyology (fish

) maybe others)-as another part-time job. After undergrad, I plan to go one and eventually get a doctorate in some biological field.
My non-fish hobbies include herps and other animals, music, and a little graphic arts-among other random things. My herps are in my signature. I also have two cats and an Australian shepherd. As far as music, I listen to music almost constantly, I play trumpet (have for 10 years, don't much anymore), guitar (for about 3 years now, and I have 4 guitars including a bass), I'm teaching myself a little piano, and I'm a pretty mediocre drummer (but my dad has drummed since high school, so I play an awesome '70-71 vintage Slingerland set), and I do a little reording, but I need to get some better recording hardware before I can really finish any songs. I've also really been into art whether drawing, painting, sculpting, whatever, since I was really young and if I wasn't a Bio major, I'd probably be a graphic design major or something along those lines. At this point though, the most art-oriented stuff I do is random drawings in my class notes. I think my favorite thing I've done to this point is a big Johnny Cash portrait collage/charcoal drawing I did for my freshman art class in high school...
I also apparently like talking about myself as my post is about 9 times longer than anyone else's...lol
