Feather Duster just died

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
lol feather dusters are common in a lot of aquariums. Besides that there a common hitch hiker on Live rock, because of filter feeding from the water, they will always have a source of food. Same with clams, provided you have enough light for them, they will always have a source of food. You will want to feed every now and then of course but if you didn't, it probably wouldn't be detrimental to the clam or feather duster.

So are we talking about feather stars(Crinoids)??? As i still think i am on the wrong page from you lot, if i am not please tell me because i would love to have one of these but everyone says "hard to keep"!!!

i believe were talking about Tubiculous lol, although they are very similar in care and feeding, they act both the same. Im thinkin the difference comes from water temperature between the species. Feather stars are located as several depths in the ocean and this may be what makes them hard to keep as far as accurate information between the species lol. I hope that makes sense, and i could be wrong about all of this lol.

I have tons of tiny feather duster, that came out of my live rock.
