Mine is I think 9 years old now and about 8 inches pretty chill in the 450 after taking down the 12 inch common pleco he had a beef with a few years back when he was maybe 6 or 7 inches

Yet to see a eupterus over 9” in captivity but agree that a 55 would be a minimum for a solitary fish and that’s 55 ukg not usg and is really a grow on tank.
Like many synodontis they can strip a planted tank quite effectively so plant matter should certainly be part of their diet.

I've lost today a 15 years old rescue, who has been 11 years with us. Final measure 10.5 inches. Will publish the photos with ruler as per my usual in due time.
