I have some - and like a million other chanchitos - and I was thinking about getting more of them. Sadly :nilly:

$25 each for wild ones is a steal. And I have actually kept chanchitos with Madagascar cichlids :)

My big guy and his lady have spawned several times but vacations, net breeder accidents (he jumped into a 6" net breeder to eat his grow out fry...twice), work schedule, etc. have prevented me from growing out more than a few babies. Another lady in my club has an F1 breeding pair from their grow outs..

You need to not post any more pictures of that fish Matt. Makes me want to buy the wild ones from Ken.

Lol, I need some more fish like I need a hole in the head.

I'm already getting some of the olimar labs from Ken and a Xiloaesis trio from Reagan. I need to sell a couple hundred fish before I get anything else. I'm looking forward to spring so I can move most of my Uruguay fish outside.

Of course not - Here are some (bad) pictures of his kids in breeding color...before I sold them :D

I won't post any pictures of Charax sp. (that Ken also has listed) because people wouldn't be at all interested in seeing a cool, 4"-ish humpheaded golden tetra... ;)

How are the "local" compared to Australoheros sp. "Red Ceibal Centurion"? They seem very similar to me.

The local get a bit larger...probably also a little more aggressive...but they're very, very closely related (kind of like different varients of peacocks)..

Local are yellower than red ceibal
