FedEx is the single worst shipper in the entire US.

Waiting on a fedex package from the East coast. Picked up 0819hrs on the 11th, left the East coast 2046hrs on the 12th, arrived at Sacramento 1604hrs on the 18th and hasn't moved since. tomorrow is the last day of their estimated delivery window. I just hope it's here before Christmas eve.

Only time I ever had a serious shipping problem was with UPS. I lived in an apartment and the driver apparently couldn't find my place, or just didn't try. I got a notice in the mail that I had to pick up the package at the local UPS facility by a certain date, which was the day before I received the notice. I called to ask about it and they said the package was already sent back and couldn't be routed back to me or the local facility.
 
That would anger the heck outta me.

I think this happens at most shipping facilities. I had this twice today at my job almost cost me my job.

Fedex does suck. Yesterday I was waiting for a fish shipment that was suppose to be at my house by 10:30 am. The package didn't even get loaded on the truck till 10:20 am and didn't arrive at my house till 11:30 lucky the fish made it ok

I get all packages on time from fed ex. However, their online tracking is not always updated accurately. last week a package never showed as having moved from the airport 5 hrs away from here, until it had already been left at my front yard gate.
